Looking into the Lens: Bringing Authentic Hiring Stories to Life with Hackajob
In partnership with hackajob, I produced a trio of case study films featuring The Very Group, Boohoo Group, and Kainos—each one telling the story of how these companies streamlined their tech hiring processes using the hackajob platform.

🎥 A Day in East London: Production Highlights
All three case studies were filmed in a single day at a hired location in East London. Working with camera operator Jack Hextall, we implemented a three-camera setup:
A and B-cam (both a Canon C70) captured locked-off, clean interview angles; a tight and a mid shot
The C-cam was my Canon R5C mounted on a slider, introducing a subtle parallax to the wide shot
Wireless video transmission fed into two director monitors from the main cameras, allowing clients to view everything live off to the side
To deepen the connection between interviewees and the audience, I also employed my periscope interview teleprompter. This allowed each subject to look directly into the camera while seeing a producer’s face—creating a conversational tone without breaking eye-line or image quality. It was a small adjustment that made a big difference to the sense of presence and honesty on screen.
