Videographer and Filmmaking Services : Architecture, Design and Brand Films
Over time, the projects I’m asked to film have settled into a fairly clear shape. They tend to sit where people, objects and spaces meet, with architecture that’s lived in, design that carries intention, and brands built around craft or material thinking.
I work as a filmmaker, videographer and video editor across London and the UK, producing short documentaries and brand films that focus on how things are made, used and experienced. While the formats vary, the underlying approach is consistent: observe carefully, simplify the visual language, and let the subject speak without overstatement.
Architecture and Spatial Films
A large part of my work involves filming architecture and interiors, often through the voices of the people who designed or inhabit them. These films are less about selling property and more about understanding it, how light moves through a space, how materials age, and how daily life shapes design decisions.
Projects in this area include architect-led house portraits and spatial features for platforms such as The Modern House and independent architectural practices. The emphasis is on clarity and atmosphere rather than spectacle.
Design and Craft
I also film designers and makers, particularly where process and material are central. These projects often unfold at the scale of the hand, with tools, textures and gestures, and rely on patience rather than staging.
Whether documenting an emerging furniture designer or a studio practice, the goal is to create films that feel close to the work itself, allowing viewers to understand both the object and the thinking behind it. This has included collaborations with organisations such as the Crafts Council and design publications including Dezeen.
Brand and Cultural Projects
Alongside architecture and craft, I collaborate with brands and institutions whose work intersects with design, place or culture. This can include product-led films, campaign pieces or short documentary content that situates a brand within a broader context of use and meaning.
I’ve worked with organisations including the V&A, Farrow & Ball and Gail’s, creating films that balance editorial and commercial needs and sit comfortably across websites, social platforms and exhibitions without feeling like advertising.
Applying the Same Approach Across Fields
While much of my work sits within architecture, design and cultural contexts, the same observational approach carries across other fields. I’ve applied it to areas including food, clean technology, corporate storytelling and events, where the aim remains the same: to understand the subject clearly and translate it into film without overstatement.
Clients sometimes arrive from outside these core areas after responding to a particular piece of work. In those cases, the focus shifts from the field itself to the underlying qualities of the project, craft, process, place or people, which tend to travel well across disciplines.
How I Work
Most projects are filmed solo or with a very small crew, allowing production to stay flexible and unobtrusive. I direct, shoot and edit my work, which keeps the visual language consistent from first conversation through to final film.
This approach is particularly suited to environments where sensitivity matters, such as lived-in homes, studios, workshops or active spaces where a large crew would be disruptive. It also allows films to develop naturally around what unfolds during filming rather than being imposed on it.
Scope
I’m commissioned across architecture, design, craft and brand projects throughout London and the UK, and occasionally internationally. Formats typically include short documentaries, branded films, interviews and spatial or process-led pieces intended for web, film and social platforms.
